"The Nicklaus Course was in stunning condition when I was there, the greens were so fast! It's an epic course that you'll want to play again and again. A real treat."

Make no bones about it, if you want to play decent golf, go to Scotland. The combination of the undulating hills, links courses and stunning views is something that you'll never forget if you're ever privileged enough to visit.

To say that Scotland has 'some' of the world's finest courses is a complete understatement. Put simply, it has the largest collection of the world's top courses in one place. The Top 100 golf course list is just peppered with the Scottish flag. A feat to be proud of.

If you're interested in golf even a little bit, then playing golf in Scotland in something you just have to do. On top of all that, it's cheaper to play there than anywhere else I've been. The title courses like Turnberry, St Andrew's, Troon, Gleneagles, Loch Lomond and the like are all pretty steep in comparison to playing in the rest of Scotland but that's exactly what you would expect and they're worth it.

If you're lucky enough to be able to go on a golf holiday then Scotland is your play ground. Read about all the courses in Scotland and plan your day out or trip away properly with this course guide.

If you're lucky enough to actually live in Scotland, then please leave us some reviews of the courses so the rest of us know which ones to visit first. Holidays are short and we need to pack in as much golf as possible so help us out and leave your comments in these pages.

Scotland is a truly stunning example of golf at its best and we guarantee you won't find anywhere like it.
