Hirzl TRUST Control Golf Glove review – does it really make a difference?
Every now and again, you come across a product that really blows you away and you wonder how you ever did without it. The Hirzl Trust Control Glove is just that product.
The Hirzl company has been sending us information for ages and I must admit, I wasn’t really interested in any of it. Anyway, after a short conversation with their PR man, we decided to have a look at one and try it out.
I’m so glad we did as it turns out – there is a huge difference between golf gloves and what they offer. All the usual spiel about super flexible fabrics and cabretta leather bores me to tears but Hirzl are different.
First and foremost, they just make gloves and that’s how they’ve made their money so they must know what they’re doing. Basically, they make two different types of golf gloves. They are the TRUST Control Glove and the TRUST Feel Glove and they offer a host of real features.
Basically, the glove can help golfers at all levels and in all weathers by offering way more grip than any other glove. I can’t tell you the amount of times the club has slipped in my hands at the top of the backswing, especially in the wet so it makes sense to have a super grippy glove.
In fact, the gloves offers three times more grip in dry weather conditions and five times more grip in wet weather using their grip4u technology. They also feature a 100% sweat resistant palm which is a key thing in hot weather. It’s also made of the most tear-resistant material in the world – kangaroo hide to finish the gloves off making them last a lot longer.
I put the gloves to the test recently to see if they stand up to the company’s claims.
The first round I played was in La Manga, Murica in 32 degree baking heat and I can assure you I was hot. My old glove had got slippy and was helping me make mistakes on the course, no doubt. So I decided it was the perfect time to try out the Hirzl TRUST Control Glove.
Honestly, I was amazed at the effects of this glove. It stopped club slip instantly and also really helped with sweaty hands. It was the perfect glove for the conditions. The only thing I didn’t like was that there is no ball marker on the back of the glove which is annoying really as you come to expect it these days. All in all though, a super performance from the Hirzl.
The next test was the rain and the grip capabilities. Well, yesterday I got caught in a ‘summer shower’. It turned out to be torrential downpour for around 20 minutes. I didn’t have an umbrella with me and my towel was soaked. All my grips were drenched and all I had was the promise of my Hirzl offering me 5 x more grip! It worked! Not one club slipped in my hands and I finished my round very happy indeed.
I know it’s just a glove but it is impressive. It lasts longer, works better in all weather conditions and feels great. I truly believe it will help your game, especially in the heat and wet. Oh yeah, the best bit – it’s guaranteed for three months! That’s incredible when you think about it…
You can buy them from their website for £24.95 which isn’t cheap but you get four times the golf glove and a 3 month guarantee for the money. Check out www.hirzl.com for more information.
