Nickent to launch in the UK and Ireland

Nickent EvolverGolfers in the UK and Ireland will soon be able to experience “some of the most technologically advanced golf clubs in the world” according to Nickent Golf who launch this month.

Multi award-winning Nickent Golf, the ‘King of Hybrids’, produces some of the most popular clubs on the US PGA tours although you probably won’t have heard of them over here.

Much of Nickent’s success stems from the input of one of the industry’s most respected golf club designers, John Hoeflich, whose patents down the years have covered some of the best-selling clubs of all time including the Tommy Armour® 845 irons, Titleist® DCI irons and TaylorMade® RAC irons and wedges.

In more than 37 years in the golf industry, Hoeflich has been employed as senior director of product marketing for Taylor Made-adidas Golf, director of golf club product development for Titleist and FootJoy worldwide and president of Liquidmetal Golf, making him one of the sport’s great innovators.

As a result of his work with the brand, Nickent Golf is established in the USA as one of the leading technology players in the industry and offers a full line of the most technically advanced clubs on the market.

Players using Nickent clubs have enjoyed 42 professional tour wins, with the 2000 US amateur champion Jeff Quinney having used the brand since he joined the Nationwide Tour in 2005. He finished 38th on the PGA Tour money list last year, 25th in the FedEx Cup point standings and is seen as one of the rising stars of the US game.

Nickent 5DXThe latest product from the California-based manufacturer to turn heads is the 5DX Ironwood, designed to be the longest and straightest hybrid the company has produced.

The revolutionary shape is designed to place discretionary weight to the extreme perimeters of the club-head, while the Hoeflich-designed ‘wings’, on the rear of the club-head, optimise the centre of gravity (COG) and increase the moment of inertia (MOI), thus affording more forgiveness with mis-hit shots.

It is available in nine different lofts, one club for each 1.5 degrees from 14 to 26 degrees.

The 5DX is the next generation of award-winning hybrids from Nickent. The 3DX and 4DX have been featured on Golf Digest’s Hot List for five successive years and it seems likely the 5DX will follow suit. The 4DX was also voted the best hybrid on test in the USA’s Golf Magazine.

Other clubs sure to attract a lot of attention in the UK & Ireland market include the 4DX Evolver driver, with interchangeable shaft technology, the 4DX irons and 4DX hybrid/iron combo sets, ARC (accelerated rebound core®) blade irons and the ARC wedges.

With the clubs available in the UK and Ireland from the end of April, it will be interesting to see if Nickent will repeat its performance on test on websites and magazines this side of the ‘pond’. We’ll let you know fairway finders.

I’ve had Nickent 3DX hybrid irons for over 3 years and are these easily the best irons I have ever had. I’ve been playing golf for 40 years mainly off a single figure handicap and have had all the popular brands of club but none are better than my Nickents
